ANCIENT APPLE COMPOTE - GRANDMA MELANKA'S STRUDEL

Casa Iuorio's fruit and vegetables are grown following the natural rhythms of the land and the seasons. We use exclusively seeds of native varieties, without resorting to intensive cultivation or greenhouses. The plants grow in the open field, without the use of chemical agents, and are carefully harvested by hand. The transformation takes place directly in Casa Iuorio, selecting only perfectly matured raw materials. Even the potting and labeling are handcrafted, guaranteeing an authentic and genuine product.
The ancient apple compote "Strudel di Nonna Melanka" is made with the San Giovanni apple variety. The following are added to the green San Giovanni apples and the Golden apples: lemon, raisins, rum, pine nuts and cinnamon. The recipe, handed down from grandmother Melanka, recalls the genuine snack of times gone by and is made without the addition of preservatives or colourings.

Ingredients
Apples (Annurca variety and Golden variety), sugar, lemon juice, raisins, rum, pine nuts, cinnamon. Fruit used: 75 g per 100 g.
Keep in a cool place and away from light sources. Once the jar is opened, keep in the refrigerator and consume within a week.
