Garnet red color with orange edges. On the nose emerge rose, violet and cherry in alcohol integrated with balsamic and spicy hints. On the palate it is warm, full, sweet and aromatic, with a long persistence that ends on a pleasant bitter note of gentian.
Name: Barolo Chinato flavored wine
Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
Production area: Barolo, Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont
Training system: Guyot counter-espalier
Hand-harvested in crates: manual in box
Winemaking: produced from Barolo wine obtained by destemming and delicate pressing of the bunches, with alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature and maceration on the skins for approximately 15 days, during which colour, aromas and tannins are extracted. After completing the minimum aging period and having passed the chemical-physical and organoleptic test required by the specifications, the wine is flavored by cold infusion in a hydroalcoholic solution of cinchona bark, gentian root, cardamom, bitter orange, rhubarb and minor spices such as vanilla. Sugar and alcohol are then added to the infusion for correct harmonization of the product
Refinement: at least 12 months in the bottle before being put on the market, so that all the aromatic parts of the infusions have time to blend into a single homogeneous and harmonious sensation.
Alcohol content: 16.5% - Contains sulphites
Serving temperature: 18°C
Available formats:
0.5L bottle MDBBCH050
Perfect pairing
Italiamy recommends the Barolo Chinato together with a chocolate bunet, for a typically Piedmontese meal finale.
