Intense ruby red color with a tendency towards garnet. It is pervasive on the nose, with a wide range of spices, among which liquorice stands out in perfect harmony with notes of red fruit jam; hints of vanilla bean and sweet pipe tobacco emerge on the finish. In the mouth the taste is rich and decisive, with a notable structure: powerful and elegant at the same time.

Name: Barolo D.O.C.G.

Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo

Production area: Sarmassa hill, Barolo, Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont

Training system: Guyot counter-espalier

Hand-harvested in crates: manual in box with selection of the best bunches

Winemaking: selective destemming and delicate pressing of the bunches which are subjected to alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C in order to preserve all the aromatic potential characteristic of the specific terroir. Subsequently, delestage and pumping over are repeated to make a maceration of 15-18 days aimed at the gradual and maximum extraction of the noble polyphenolic part of the skins

Refinement: after racking, the wine begins a period of clarification and rest in vitrified concrete tanks. Subsequently, the maturation in wood takes place for a total of approximately 24 months: the first 12 months in small French oak barrels, with the aim of fixing the color and increasing the aging potential. To this end, the percentage of
new woods is perfectly balanced to maintain the identifying characteristics of this Cru. The following 12 months the wine ages in large Slavonian oak barrels in which the characteristics of finesse and elegance are enhanced. To complete the aging, a period of at least 12 months in the bottle follows
