Ruby red in colour with garnet highlights. The nose is broad and ethereal, with floral notes of wild rose and fruity hints of wild strawberry. Full and enveloping on the palate, with smooth tannins and a pleasant freshness.
Designation: Barolo DOCG
Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Production area: Verduno, La Morra, Barolo and Grinzane Cavour, Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont
Training system: vertical trellising with Guyot pruning
Harvest: picked by hand into crates, selecting only the finest bunches
Vinification: the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed before undergoing alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Skin maceration takes place simultaneously, extracting the grapes’ finest components, including colour, aromas and tannins. Maceration lasts approximately 15 days, during which repeated pump-overs over the cap encourage a gradual and balanced extraction
Ageing: after racking, the wine is aged in wood for approximately 24 months. During the first 12 months, it matures in 30 and 60 hl Slavonian oak casks. For the following 12 months, ageing continues in large traditional Slavonian oak casks, enhancing the wine’s finesse and elegance. It reaches its full expression after resting in the bottle for at least a further 12 months
Alcohol content: 14% – Contains sulphites
Serving temperature: 18°C
