Frise, available in the classic and wholemeal variants, are a typical product of the Apulian tradition, obtained through a process that involves double baking the bread to guarantee its typical dry and fragrant consistency and a long shelf life. The classic version stands out for its simple and balanced flavour, while the wholemeal version has more rustic notes and a more intense aromatic profile, thanks to the use of wholemeal flours. Both variants are ideal to soften slightly with water and season with tomato, extra virgin olive oil and salt, representing an authentic and versatile base for Mediterranean cuisine.
