HERITAGE APPLE COMPOTE – GRANDMA MELANKA’S STRUDEL

Casa Iuorio’s vegetables are grown following the natural rhythms of the land and the seasons. Only seeds from native varieties are used, without resorting to intensive farming or greenhouses. The plants grow in open fields, without the use of chemical agents, and are carefully harvested by hand. Processing takes place directly at Casa Iuorio, selecting only vegetables that have reached perfect ripeness. Even the jar filling and labelling are carried out by hand, ensuring an authentic and genuine product.
“Grandma Melanka’s Strudel” Heritage Apple Compote is made with traditional apple varieties. Green San Giovanni apples and Golden apples are combined with lemon, raisins, rum, pine nuts and cinnamon. The recipe, handed down by Grandma Melanka, recalls the simple, wholesome snacks of the past and is made without added preservatives or colourings.

Ingredients
Apples (Annurca and Golden varieties), sugar, lemon juice, raisins, rum, pine nuts, cinnamon. Fruit content: 75 g per 100 g.
Store in a cool place, away from light sources. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within one week.
