Ruby red with purple highlights. The broad, intense bouquet reveals aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry, with subtle nuances of red berry jam. Delicate in structure on the palate, with soft tannins. Spicy notes acquired during oak ageing blend with the fruity aromas of cherries preserved in spirits and raspberry, expressing all the warmth of Sicily.

Training system: vertical trellising with Guyot pruning

Harvest: picked by hand into crates

Vinification: destemming followed by alcoholic fermentation on the skins for 8 days at 25–26°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tanks using selected bacteria

Ageing: for several months in two-year-old French oak barriques

Alcohol content: 13.5% – Contains sulphites

Serving temperature: 16–18°C
