NONNA PEPPA – TOMATO SAUCE WITH RICOTTA BALLS

Casa Iuorio’s vegetables are grown in harmony with the natural rhythms of the land and the seasons. Only seeds from native varieties are used, without resorting to intensive farming or greenhouses. The plants are grown in open fields, without the use of chemical treatments, and are carefully harvested by hand. Processing takes place directly at Casa Iuorio, where only vegetables that have reached perfect ripeness are selected. The filling of the jars and labelling are also carried out by hand, ensuring an authentic and genuine product.
This ready-to-use sauce with aged ricotta balls and dried sweet peppers is handmade according to traditional country recipes. It can be used as a convenient and flavourful sauce for pasta or served on toasted bread for an aperitif.

Ingredients
Ricotta balls
eggs, aged cow’s milk ricotta 6.8% (cow’s milk whey, salt), (type “0” soft wheat flour, water, salt, brewer’s yeast), extra virgin olive oil, sunflower seed oil, dried sweet pepper, garlic, pepper.
Sauce
Peeled tomatoes, datterino tomato purée, garlic.
No preservatives or colourings. Contains gluten.
Once opened, keep refrigerated at 5°C and consume within 1 week.
